Thatcher Gray Leonard was born with his face towards the sky.

Ten days late, we decided to induce.
Machines showed fetal distress;
whenever I had a contraction, his heart rate plummeted like a stone.
A caesarian was performed early the next morning.
His umbilical cord was wrapped around him three times,
the contractions were cutting off his lifeline.
